Kuja Pirates

Who are the Kuja Pirates?

The Kuja Pirates are the warrior crew of Amazon Lily, led by Boa Hancock, the Pirate Empress. The Kuja are renowned for their strength, skill with Haki, and deep connection to their isolated island. Their crew represents a society in which women warriors train from a young age and venture to sea aboard their distinctive ship.

Amazon Lily and the warrior tradition

Amazon Lily sits within the Calm Belt, a dangerous stretch of sea where ordinary ships struggle to travel. The Kuja’s knowledge of their environment and use of sea kings enable them to sail where others cannot. Their island culture and the crew’s history give the Kuja Pirates a distinctive place among the world’s pirate groups.
